Start with the inner height and inner width.

Measure on the inside of a link. The more dimensions you enter, the more precise the comparison.

  • Hi Inner height. Inside of the link, from the base to the crossbar.
  • Bi Inner width. Inside of the link, between the side plates.
  • KR Bending radius. From the centre of the bend to the centre of the link. Easier: measure the installation height H, subtract the outer height and divide by two.
  • t Pitch. Centre to centre of two hinge pins. Measure ten links and divide by ten.
  • hG Outer height. Over the outside of the link, from bottom to top.
  • Bk Outer width. Over the outside of the side plates.

How it works

How the guide chooses

No guesswork and no brand comparison: only the dimensions from our type data, with fixed rules. Anything not in the data is shown as unknown and checked by a specialist.

Read: how to find a suitable type
  • Inner dimensions at least equal

Inner height and inner width are at least what you measured (1 mm measuring margin), so your cables keep fitting. At most 50% larger (minimum 10 mm), otherwise the carrier no longer fits in the same place.

  • Same or slightly wider bend

The bending radius is no tighter than now (2 mm tolerance), because your cables were chosen for that bend. At most 15% larger (at least 10 mm), because a larger bend makes the carrier taller.

  • Travel length, installation and type

Your travel length falls within what the type can handle self-supporting or gliding. Hanging or standing only for types that may run vertically. Material and open or closed follow your choice.

  • Fits in the same space

Enter your outer height and outer width, and the replacement will not be larger than your current carrier (1 mm measuring margin).

  • Match in percent

The closer the height, width, radius, pitch and outer dimensions are to your current carrier, the higher the match. Only what you entered counts. A different pitch does not rule it out, but costs points: the length in links and the end mounting then differ.
