Retrofit of a Reiku dress pack on a Yaskawa robot at Mujin Europe

In Mujin Europe's state-of-the-art distribution centre, robots run continuously to speed up logistics flows. One specific Yaskawa robot, essential for the pick-and-place process, was suffering from worn cable protection. In intensive applications like this in logistics, the cables take a real beating from constant torsion and bending. The existing hoses showed cracks, posing a direct risk to the internal cabling and the uptime of the entire warehouse. Mujin was looking for a partner that could not only supply the right components, but also take care of the complete installation without disrupting the process for long.

As a cable management specialist, we look beyond just a replacement part. We opted for a retrofit with a dress pack from Reiku, a system known for its extreme durability in robotics. Our own fitters went on site to map the existing situation. Because Wisman has been a partner of Tsubaki Kabelschlepp since 1975, we know exactly how to minimise mechanical stress on cables. During the planned downtime, our team removed the old hoses and installed the new Reiku system, including the right connectors and mounting brackets. Particular attention was paid to the freedom of movement of the robot arms, so that no kink points occur.

The Yaskawa robot is now equipped with a robust Reiku system specifically designed for dynamic robot applications. Thanks to this intervention by our fitters, the risk of cable breakage and unexpected downtime is kept to a minimum. The cables are once again safe and well organised, which significantly extends the service life of the entire installation.
