EMC clamps.Shielding that does what it should.
A shielded cable only protects if the shield is well earthed over a large area. EMC shield clamps make that connection quickly and reliably, on earth rail, DIN rail, C-rail or directly on the I/O module, and add strain relief as well.

EMC clamps
- Function
- Earthing of cable shielding + strain relief
- Assembly
- Earth rail, DIN rail, C rail or I/O module
- Material
- Galvanised steel
- Standard
- Strain relief to EN 62444
The clamp presses the cable braid against a conductive surface over its full circumference. This gives a low-resistance connection to earth, which keeps interference from frequency converters, motors and switching power supplies away from the controls.
There are clamps for every mounting: on a 10 × 3 mm earth rail (MSB, MSBS, MSR), on a TS35 DIN rail (MSD, MSD2), on a 30 mm C-rail (MST), with constant spring pressure (MSF, MSFD, MSFE) and directly in Siemens ET200S and ET200SP modules (MSY, MSK). Most also provide strain relief via cable ties in accordance with EN 62444.
When
When do you choose EMC clamps?
- 01Frequency converters and servos
- Motor cables radiate interference. A properly earthed shield keeps it inside the cable.
- 02Sensitive signals
- Encoders, bus systems and analogue signals benefit from tight shield grounding.
- 03Quick assembly
- Click onto the rail, cable in, done. Tool-free versions as well.
- 04Directly on the I/O
- With Siemens ET200S and ET200SP the clamp goes directly into the module.
How to choose
From cable list to the right model
Send your cable list. We choose the model and size and check that everything fits.
Send your cable list01Determine the rail or module
Earth rail 10 × 3 mm, TS35 DIN rail, C rail 30 mm or Siemens ET200S/ET200SP. That determines the series.
02Measure the shielding
The clamping range applies to the diameter of the exposed shield, not the outer sheath.
03Need strain relief?
Choose a clamp with one or two cable ties for strain relief in accordance with EN 62444.
04Vibration
On vibrating machines the spring clamps (MSF series) give constant contact pressure.
Application
Used in
- Switch cabinets with frequency converters
- Servo and motor controls
- PLC and I/O cabinets (Siemens ET200)
- Installations with bus and encoder cables
What Wisman does for you
