From 20 to 23 October, EuroBLECH takes place in Hanover, the largest trade fair for sheet metal working. Within the Tsubaki group, Kabelschlepp Hünsborn will show how residual material from laser and punching machines is automatically shredded and sorted for reuse.
High accelerations, fine metal dust
We mainly look at the machines themselves. On laser cutters, cable carriers move at high accelerations, often in an environment with fine metal dust. The right chain, cable selection and guidance then determine how long a system runs trouble-free.
What to look for with sheet metal working machines
- Weight and acceleration: a light carrier with a low dead weight demands less of the drive and stays steady during fast movements.
- Dust: a closed or coverable version keeps metal dust out of the cable package.
- Cables: choose cables designed for many bending cycles in a cable carrier, with the correct bending radius.
- Layout: separators and dividers prevent cables and hoses from rubbing against each other.
From new build to retrofit
As the exclusive dealer of Tsubaki Kabelschlepp in the Netherlands, Wisman Techniek helps you find the right energy chains for sheet metal processing machines, from new builds to retrofits.
For new builds, we calculate the carrier based on travel length, speed and cable package. For retrofits, we first look at why the current carrier is wearing, so the new one does not develop the same problem.
